Lawsonia Inermis, also known as henna, is a plant that grows in very warm climates. It is commonly used to dye hair, create temporary tattoos for traditional ceremonies or simply to express creativity. It was used in ancient Egypt for personal decorative body art, and in other areas of Africa to help keep the body cool. The dried and crushed leaves of this plant form the henna powder which is exported all over the world.
Hana's Henna uses triple sifted body art quality henna powder to provide you the best henna art experience possible!
Annie creates 100% natural henna paste with very simple ingredients: henna powder, lemon juice, water, sugar and essential oils. These ingredients are blended together to form a smooth and stringy paste which sits for about 24 hours for dye-release. The paste is mixed once again for perfect consistency. It's transferred to an icing bag and sifted using a mesh fabric to remove remaining powder clumps. The paste is filled into cellophane cones and sealed, ready to be used to design your body as a temporary tattoo souvenir lasting about 10 days!
Henna cones are made to order and can be frozen for up to 6 months. Contact Hana's Henna for a local pickup of 100% natural henna cones!
